October 5th, 2004 Berlin, Germany

This afternoon, I woke up pretty late again and wasted the day away. I went and got a haircut.. that was really interesting because the hairdresser didn't speak English. And there are so many questions when you get your hair cut, so we played charades.. but she did a good job.

At night, I went out with three aussies from my room on a pub crawl (the guys all wearing white tshirts). There were about 30 or 40 other people on the pub crawl with us.. we went to three pubs and then went to a dance club that played good English 80s and rock.. it reminded me a lot of the Dance Cave above Lee's Palace. I would definitely go back there if I ever got a chance.

I met so many people last night.. most of the people on the pub crawl were Australian, with a few from Canada and the US. One of the girls from Canada, staying in my hostel, was from Montreal. It turned out she knew my old friend Luke Heming and actually used to date his brother Adam. What a small world. It also turned out these other aussies staying in my hostel were in Ibiza at the same night club on the same night I was there. So weird. And then the guy I hung out with my first night in Berlin ended up joining the pub crawl half way through. The night was full of wonderful coincidences.

I closed down the bar (stayed there until 6am), all set to waste another afternoon tomorrow.
