Today we made our way to Munich (München), Germany. We finally found a place to stay out in the country, but close enough that we could take a train into town to check out Oktoberfest. We had to hurry because we would get into Munich very late as it was, and the hostel lady was going to make a trip special just to meet us so late so we could check in. I took a few scenic shots of Interlaken and Switzerland from the train.
When we got to the train station in Zürich, we went and got some groceries and waited for our train. At some point I realised that I had the time wrong for the train, and that we would be too late to make it to the place we needed to stay! We got on the phone and called one of the hostels that was booked up to ask for some phone numbers of other places.. Somehow that hostel had some cancellations and was able to accomodate us afterall. We had to fax a photocopy of Sean's passport and credit card in order to make the reservation, but somehow we found a place to stay.
Finally we got into Munich. It took us some time to find our hostel, but once we did we quickly dropped off our bags in our room (a dorm with 30 beds) and went into the bar to relax after a horrible day. We met a few people, one named Justin Case (for real!) and another named Kai, plus a few others. They were all Australian.. it seems Germany was completely full of Australians and Canadians for Oktoberfest.
