After Budapest we headed off to Vienna, Austria for a night with Jen and Kelly. Two girls we had met in budapest at the hostel. (smart girls, teachers in the making) They were like our tour guide buddies cuz we were sick with snots and coughs. Vienna was very clean and surprisingly more metropolitan than i had thought. Mozart stuff was everywhere. We did the most we could much with only one day. Went into a large basilica (name escapes me currently) with some of the best stained glass i'd seen in a church in europe. We climbed something like 400 steps up the tower in a steep very claustrophobic staircase only to find the view mostly obstructed by construction. woulda been a good slinky. We tried to go to the opera but the dudes that took the tickets didn't like the cut of my jib apparently. Jen and Kelly get the props for standing for the whole 5 hours of it though. We ate chinese and at a place kinda like marche. The next day we took trains in our seperate directions. crappy to leave good travel partners. still sick.......
